I remember the tall mill chimney (on the left) going on fire in about 1965/66, we kids all raced along from Virgil Street because we could see the huge clouds of smoke billowing out all over Scottie. We got a good spec by Wilbraham House (on the right of the pic) and watched as the fire brigade engines arrived and the road was packed, especially on St Anthony's side. ©2020 Pete Ryan
